U.S. Route 40 (Harding Highway) is the state highway that cuts right through both Buena Borough and Buena Vista Twp. Route 40 goes straight from Delaware all the way east into Atlantic City, NJ. While Buena does offer smaller restaurants, food chains, and local establishments; many residents commute to other nearby larger cities for employment.
There are several local elementary and grade schools in both communities. Children in these communities then attend Buena Middle School and Buena Regional High School.
Love shopping and dining? Take your pick for shopping malls; the Cumberland Mall in Vineland, the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, and the Deptford Mall in Deptford – are all within a half hour drive from Buena. While there are many local eateries in town (mostly Pizza restaurants and Bars); many popular and well-known commercial food-chain restaurants are located in the neighboring towns of Vineland and Mays Landing.
